Manufacturer description
Never before produced in ready-to-run form in any scale, accurascale is excited to reveal the latest addition to its eagerly-anticipated range of 4mm/OO gauge Mk.2 coaching stock, the late-style Mk.2c variant with their characteristic small 'air con'-style toilet windows. Famously designed to be retrofitted with air-conditioning equipment, a modification that never took place, 150 vehicles were built at Litchurch Lane, Derby, in 1969-70 to five designs (out of 250 Mk.2c in total), primarily for the London Midland Region: Tourist Second Open (TSO), Corridor First (FK), Open First (FO), Brake Corridor First (BFK) and Brake Open Second (BSO). In the 1980s four further types were introduced, SK and SO (declassified from first class), Corridor Composite (converted from FK for Scottish Region services) and a mini buffet with trolley space, known as TSO(T). All nine of these versions will feature in our production.

Accurascale has announced the release of a new 4mm/OO gauge model of the BR Mark 2C BSO Regional Railways Blue No.9458. This model represents a late-style Mark 2c variant, featuring small 'air con'-style toilet windows. The vehicle was built at BREL's Derby Litchurch Lane Works between 1969 and 1970, with 150 vehicles of this type being produced for the London Midland Region.

Key features of the model include highly-detailed exterior rivet detail, separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts, and prism-free glazing. The underframe is fully detailed, with numerous separate parts and accurate differences between versions. The model also features blackened RP25.110 profile wheel-sets, accurate buffers for retracted and non-retracted positions, and a correct height NEM standard coupling socket.

Interior lighting is also a feature of the model, with a magnet 'wand' controlled system and a 'stay-alive' capacitor to prevent the lights from draining the battery when the model is not in use. Additionally, the model has directional lighting that can be controlled using DC or DCC. The model has a minimum radius of 438mm, making it suitable for use on second radius track.
