Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of a British Railways Mark 2B Tourist Second Open (TSO) coach in the Provincial Trans-Pennine livery, number 5479.

Built at Litchurch Lane, Derby between 1963 and 1975, 111 vehicles of this type were produced for British Rail. The Mk.2b series is a 'missing link' class that has not previously been modelled in high quality in 4mm scale.

This Accurascale model features a highly-detailed exterior with fine rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, as well as separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts. The interior is also fully detailed, with accurate features such as winged headrests and metal interior handrails.

The model includes a range of features including prism free glazing, pre-painted destination boards, and accurate underframe details. The bogies are highly-detailed and can be re-gauged to EM or P4 gauges. The model also features blackened wheel-sets with 14.4mm back-to-back measurements and 26mm over pinpoints.

The model is designed to operate on a minimum radius of 438mm and has a length of 269mm. It is compatible with DCC control and features a full lighting package, with magnet-controlled interior lighting and directional lighting.
