Accurascale has released a new model of the British Rail Mk 2b FK Corridor First coach in Network SouthEast livery, bearing the running number 13499. The model is a highly-detailed representation of the coach in OO gauge, measuring 269mm in length.

The model features a number of accurate details, including exterior rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts, and a fully-detailed underframe. The bogies are designed to be compatible with EM or P4 gauges, and feature blackened RP25.110 profile wheel-sets with 14.4mm back-to-back measurements.

The interior of the coach is also detailed, with characteristic 'winged' headrests, separate metal interior handrails, and a fully-detailed guard's compartment. The model is equipped with a lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, 'stay-alive' capacitors, and directional lighting with DC or DCC control on the driving trailer.

The model is designed to operate on minimum radius curves of 438mm (2nd radius set-track), and features a NEM standard coupling socket with a mini tension lock coupler and kinematic close-coupling. The model is also compatible with conversion to Kadee-compatiable knuckle couplers.

The Mk 2b FK Corridor First coach was built at the BREL Derby Litchurch Lane Works between 1963 and 1975, and was one of several 'missing link' sub-classes that have been produced in low quality or not at all in 4mm scale.
