Prototype information

Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of a Mark 2C TSO(T) coach in BR blue and grey livery. This model features a minimum radius curve requirement of 2nd radius, meaning it can be used on smaller model railway layouts.

The coach is built to a high standard with accurate details including rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, and separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts. The underframe is also fully detailed with numerous separate parts and pipe runs.

The model features a working interior lighting system, with a magnet 'wand' controlled lighting system and a 'Stay-Alive' capacitor to prevent the lights from fading. The coach also has a correct height NEM standard coupling socket and a mini tension lock coupler.

The Mark 2C coach was built by BREL at their Derby Litchurch Lane Works between 1963 and 1975, and is part of the British Rail Blue era. The coach was a member of the Mark 2 family, which included various sub-types including TSO, FK, FO, BFK and BSO.

Accurascale's model of the Mark 2C TSO(T) coach is a highly detailed model that features a wide range of accurate details, including the characteristic 'winged' headrests and separate metal interior handrails.
