Accurascale has released a new model of a Mark 2b Tourist Second Open Coach, No. 5455, in Network SouthEast livery. This OO gauge model is part of the company's range of highly-detailed rolling stock.

The model features a pristine finish and is accurate in scale and detail. It has a length of 269mm and a minimum radius curve of 438mm. The coach is equipped with NEM + Tension Lock coupling and has power pickup on all wheels. The model also has working interior lighting.

The Mark 2b series of coaches were built at BREL's Derby Litchurch Lane Works between 1963 and 1975. A total of 111 vehicles were produced for British Rail, with the Mark 2b Tourist Second Open being one of the three designs. The model is accurate to the period of British Rail Sectorisation.

The Accurascale model features a highly-detailed exterior, with fine rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, and separately-applied etched metal and high-fidelity plastic parts. It also has a fully-detailed underframe and accurate bogies, allowing for re-gauging to EM or P4 gauges. The interior is accurately detailed, with characteristic 'winged' headrests and fully-detailed guard's compartment.
