accurascale is very proud to reveal the latest addition to its well received range of rolling stock, the Mk.2b series of coaches, one of several 'missing link' sub classes that has never been produced in high quality form in 4mm scale. Built at Litchurch Lane, Derby, during 1969, 111 vehicles were built for British Rail to three designs; Tourist Second Open (TSO), Corridor First (FK) and Brake Corridor First (BFK).

The Accurascale Mark 2b TSO Tourist Second Open Coach is a highly detailed OO gauge model of a British Railways coach. It features a blue and grey livery and is accurately modelled to represent a coach built by British Rail Engineering Limited at Litchurch Lane Works in Derby between 1963 and 1975. The model measures 269mm in length and has a minimum radius curve requirement of 438mm.

The coach is equipped with a range of features including separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts, prism free glazing, and a fully-detailed underframe. The bogies are accurately modelled as B4 or B5 bogies, with the option to re-gauge to EM or P4 gauges. The model also features blackened wheel-sets and different buffers for retracted and non-retracted positions.

The interior of the coach is accurately modelled, with characteristic 'winged' headrests, separate metal interior handrails, and a fully-detailed guard's compartment.
