Accurascale has released a new model of the British Rail Mk2B TSO Tourist Second Open Coach in Network South East livery, numbered 5449. This OO gauge model is part of a series of coaches that were built by British Rail Engineering Limited at Litchurch Lane Works in Derby between 1963 and 1975.

The model features a highly detailed exterior with fine rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, as well as separately-applied etched metal and plastic parts. The coach has a fully-detailed underframe with numerous separate parts and accurate differences between versions. The bogies are accurate representations of the B4 and B5 types, with the option to re-gauge to EM or P4 gauges.

The interior of the coach is also highly detailed, with characteristic 'winged' headrests, separate metal interior handrails, and a fully-detailed guard's compartment. The model features a correct height NEM standard coupling socket and a tension lock coupler. The model is also equipped with a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, a 'stay-alive' capacitor, and directional lighting with DC or DCC control.

The model meets the British Rail Sectorisation period of the 1980s and is designed for use on 16.5mm track. The minimum radius curve for the model is 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track). The model is 269mm in length and features power pickup on all wheels.
