accurascale is very proud to reveal the latest addition to its well received range of rolling stock, the Mk.2b series of coaches, one of several 'missing link' sub classes that has never been produced in high quality form in 4mm scale. Built at Litchurch Lane, Derby, during 1969, 111 vehicles were built for British Rail to three designs; Tourist Second Open (TSO), Corridor First (FK) and Brake Corridor First (BFK).

• The most accurate B4 and B5 bogies ever produced, with provision for re-gauging to EM or P4 (British 18.83mm or Irish 21mm) gauges
• Blackened RP25.110 profile wheel-sets with 14.4mm back-to-back measurements, and 26mm over pinpoints
• Different buffers for retracted and non-retracted positions
• Accurate interiors with characteristic 'winged' headrests, separate metal interior handrails on the brake and corridor vehicles and fully-detailed guard's compartment
• Correct height NEM standard coupling sockets with mini tension lock couplers and kinematic close-coupling

Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of a Mark 2b MK2B FK Corridor First Coach in Network South East livery, numbered 13482. This model features a highly detailed interior and exterior, with separately applied etched metal and plastic parts, including handrails, brake/steam heat pipes, and roof vents.

The model is built to a scale of 1:76.2 and is designed for use on 16.5mm track. It is intended for use in layouts depicting the British Rail Sectorisation period, which began in the 1980s. The model's exterior features extremely fine rivet detail on the roof and coach ends, and it has a pristine finish.

The model's interior is fully detailed, with characteristic 'winged' headrests and separate metal interior handrails on the brake and corridor vehicles. The guard's compartment is also fully detailed.

The model features a full lighting package, including magnet 'wand' controlled interior lighting, a 'stay-alive' capacitor, and directional lighting with DC or DCC control. The model is powered by all wheels and has a minimum radius curve of 438mm.

The Mark 2b MK2B FK Corridor First Coach was built by BREL at Litchurch Lane Works in Derby between 1963 and 1975. A total of 111 vehicles were built for British Rail, with three different designs: Tourist Second Open, Corridor First, and Brake Corridor First. Accurascale's model is based on the Corridor First design.
