Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of a Mark 2b TSO Tourist Second Open coach in Network SouthEast livery, numbered 5462. The model is part of a range of 'missing link' classes that have not previously been produced in high detail in 4mm scale.

The model is built to a scale of 1:76.2 and features a highly detailed exterior with fine rivet detail on the roof and coach ends. It also includes separately-applied etched metal and high-fidelity plastic parts, such as handrails, brake pipes, and roof vents.

The interior of the model features a fully-detailed guard's compartment and accurate interiors with characteristic winged headrests. The model also includes a correct height NEM standard coupling socket and a tension lock coupler.

The model is powered and features a full lighting package, including magnet-controlled interior lighting, directional lighting, and a 'stay-alive' capacitor. It also has a minimum radius of 2nd radius set-track and a length of 269mm.

The Mark 2b TSO was built by BREL at Litchurch Lane Works in Derby between 1963 and 1975, with 111 vehicles produced in three different designs. This model represents the Network SouthEast livery, which was used during the sectorisation period of British Rail.
