Accurascale 9021 “Argyll and Sutherland Highlander” is a highly detailed OO‑scale (1:76.2) model locomotive finished in pristine British Rail blue liveries. The model carries the running number 9021 and the name “Argyll and Sutherland Highlander”, representing a Class 55 Deltic built for British Rail between 1961 and 1962. It is supplied in the pre‑TOPS blue period livery.

The locomotive is constructed on a die‑cast alloy metal chassis and rides on RP25‑110 metal wheels, which can be re‑gauged to p4 or EM gauge if required. It is fitted with cast bogies, a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels, a metal helical gearbox and all‑wheel drive, allowing a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). The model includes correct height mini‑tension‑lock couplers with NEM sockets, a fully detailed buffer beam and fully sprung metal buffers.

Detailing includes period‑accurate features such as two windscreen wipers per pane, nose‑front sandbox hatches, battery compartment louvres, cab side windows, horn positioned on the top of the nose, and appropriate headcode panels. Etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic parts provide added detail such as grab handles, steps, nameplates and crests. The model also has directional and interior lighting, a high‑intensity headlight where applicable, and a separate cab lighting circuit that switches off on movement.

The locomotive is DCC ready with a 21‑pin MTX socket and is supplied factory‑fitted with sound equipment, including two quality speakers with large sound capsules. A PowerPack capacitor provides uninterrupted power, and the lighting pack offers both DC and DCC operation. The minimum radius curve for operation is 438 mm (second radius set‑track).
