Accurascale D9006 – The Fife and Forfar Yeomanry is a highly detailed OO‑scale (1:76.2) model of a British Railways Class 55 “Deltic” diesel locomotive, representing the late‑crest period of British Railways. The model is finished in pristine condition with a two‑tone green livery and the name “The Fife and Forfar Yeomanry” applied in the appropriate lettering.

The locomotive is fitted with DCC sound and a 5‑pole motor with twin flywheels, delivering a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). It uses a metal helical gearbox, all‑wheel drive and a PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power. Coupling is provided by a correct‑height mini‑tension‑lock coupler with an NEM socket, and the model includes fully sprung metal buffers and cast bogies.

Lighting is comprehensive, offering directional and interior illumination, marker lights, a high‑intensity headlight where applicable, and separate cab lighting that switches off when the locomotive moves. The RP25‑110 OO wheels are supplied with the option of re‑gauging to P4 or EM gauge.

Key specifications: built 1961‑62, total production 22, operator British Railways, maximum speed 100 mph, DCC ready with a 21‑pin MTX socket, and numerous etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic detail parts such as nameplates, crests, grab handles and steps. Minimum curve radius is 438 mm (second‑radius set‑track).
