Accurascale 55011 is a 1:76.2 (OO scale) die‑cast model of the British Rail Class 55 “Deltic” locomotive, number 55011, named The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. The locomotive is reproduced in the British Rail Blue livery of the TOPS era and represents a unit built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry in 1961‑62, one of a total of 22 produced for British Rail. The model carries the running number 55011, a blue livery, and the DCC‑ready 21‑pin MTX socket for digital control.

The model features a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels, a metal helical gearbox and all‑wheel drive with power pickup from all wheels. It is fitted with a correct‑height mini‑tension‑lock NEM coupling and a fully detailed buffer beam. Lighting is comprehensive, with directional, interior and marker lights, a high‑intensity headlight where appropriate, and separate cab illumination that switches off when the locomotive moves. The wheels are RP25‑110 OO gauge, suitable for re‑gauging to P4 or EM gauge.

Additional details include cast and fabricated bogies, etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic parts such as grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates and crests, as well as authentic features like sandbag hatches, battery compartment louvres and windscreen wipers. The model is supplied either DCC ready with a PowerPack capacitor or factory fitted with sound, using two quality speakers. The minimum curve radius is 2nd radius (438 mm).
