Accurascale DCC‑ready D9004 is a 1:76.2 (OO) scale model of a British Railways Class 55 “Deltic” diesel locomotive, representing the late‑crest period (built 1961‑62). The locomotive is finished in pristine two‑tone green livery with the original BR number D9004 and an alphanumeric headcode.

The chassis is die‑cast alloy with a five‑pole motor and twin flywheels, driving all wheels through a metal helical gearbox. The gearing is set to give a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). A 21‑pin MTX socket provides DCC capability, and the DCC‑sound version includes two quality speakers and a PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power.

Detailing includes cast and fabricated bogies, correctly placed horn, sandbox hatches, windscreen wipers, cab side windows and headcode panels, as well as etched metal and plastic parts such as grab handles, nameplates and crests. The model is fitted with directional and interior lighting, a separate cab‑lighting circuit, and optional high‑intensity headlights where appropriate. Mini‑tension‑lock couplers with NEM sockets and fully sprung metal buffers complete the running gear.

The locomotive runs on RP25‑110 OO wheels (convertible to P4 or EM gauge) and can negotiate a minimum radius of 438 mm (2nd radius set‑track). It is supplied with the manufacturer part number ACC2154D9004DCC and represents one of the 22 original locomotives built for British Railways.
