Accurascale 55001 St Paddy is a 1:76.2 (OO gauge) die‑cast model of the British Rail Class 55 Deltic locomotive, representing the locomotive as it appeared in British Rail blue livery (TOPS period). The model bears the running number 55001 and the name St Paddy and is produced to a high level of detail, including etched metal and plastic parts such as grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates and crests.

The locomotive is built on a die‑cast alloy chassis with cast bogies and a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels driving all wheels via a metal helical gearbox. Gearing is set to allow a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). It is DCC ready with a 21‑pin MTX socket and includes a PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power; a factory‑fitted sound version also offers two quality speakers with large sound capsules. Coupling is provided by correct‑height mini tension‑lock couplers with an NEM socket and a fully detailed buffer beam. The model uses RP25‑110 OO wheels, which can be re‑gauged to P4 or EM gauge, and the minimum curve radius is 438 mm (second radius set‑track).

Lighting is fully detailed and includes directional and interior illumination, marker lights, a high‑intensity headlight where applicable, and separate cab lighting that switches off on movement. Additional features such as windscreen wipers (two per pane), sandbox hatches, battery compartment louvres, cab side windows and a top‑mounted horn are modelled to match the prototype. The locomotive was originally built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry in 1961–62, with a total production run of 22 units. Manufacturer part number ACC2151D9001.
