Accurascale D9007 “Pinza” is a 1:76.2 (OO gauge) die‑cast model of a British Railways Class 55 (Deltic) diesel locomotive. It represents the late‑crest period of 1961‑62, when 22 locomotives were built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry for British Railways. The model carries the running number D9007, is finished in BR green with the late crest livery and bears the name “Pinza”.

The locomotive is fitted with a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels and a metal helical gearbox, giving a scale top speed of about 120 mph (193 km/h). Power is taken from all wheels and the model is DCC ready, featuring a 21‑pin MTX socket, a PowerPack capacitor and, on sound‑fitted versions, two quality speakers. The chassis is die‑cast alloy with fabricated bogies and RP25‑110 wheels, which can be re‑gauged to P4 or EM gauge.

Lighting is fully detailed and includes directional head‑ and marker lights, cab illumination, engine‑bay lighting and separate DCC or DC control of interior lights. The model has correct mini‑tension‑lock couplers with an NEM socket, fully sprung metal buffers and a detailed buffer beam. Additional etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic components such as grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates and crests are applied separately.

Technical data: minimum curve radius 438 mm (2nd radius set‑track), wheel arrangement Co‑Co, max speed 100 mph in prototype, operator British Railways, manufacturer part number ACC2157D9007. The model was released in 2024 and is supplied in pristine condition.
