Accurascale 9016 “Gordon Highlander” is a 1:76.2 OO‑scale model of a British Rail Class 55 (Deltic) diesel locomotive, supplied in Porterbrook purple livery with a pristine finish. The model bears the running number 9016 and is named “Gordon Highlander”, representing the early privatisation period.

The locomotive is DCC ready, fitted with a 21‑pin MTX socket and a PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power. It uses a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels, a metal helical gearbox and all‑wheel drive, giving a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). RP25‑110 OO wheels are fitted, with the option to re‑gauge to P4 or EM gauge.

Lighting is supplied as a fully detailed pack, including directional head‑lamps, cab and engine‑bay illumination, and marker lights that switch off when the locomotive is coupled. The model also features a high‑intensity WIPAC headlight, separate cab lighting, and internal lighting that switches off on movement.

The chassis is die‑cast alloy with fabricated Co‑Co bogies, NEM + tension‑lock couplers, fully sprung metal buffers and a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (second‑radius set‑track). Additional fittings include etched metal and plastic detail parts such as grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates, and crest plates. The locomotive was originally built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry in 1961‑62, with a total production of 22 units, and was operated by Porterbrook Leasing Company Limited.
