Accurascale D9014 is a 1:76.2 (OO scale) model of the British Railways Class 55 “Deltic” locomotive, representing a unit built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry between 1961 and 1962. The model carries the running number D9014 and is named “The Duke of Wellington’s Regiment”. It is supplied in a pristine condition with a two‑tone green livery and a wrap‑around yellow nose panel. The locomotive is fitted with a 21‑pin MTX DCC socket and is ready for digital command control.

The model features a die‑cast alloy metal chassis, a five‑pole motor with twin flywheels, and a metal helical gearbox geared for a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h). Power is collected from all wheels and all‑wheel drive is provided through a NEM socket coupled with a mini‑tension‑lock. The minimum radius curve is 438 mm (second radius set‑track). The locomotive is supplied with nominal British Railways fittings such as two windscreen wipers per pane, steam‑heat train heating, a headcode panel, sandbox hatches, battery compartment louvres, an upper central lamp iron and cast bogies.

Lighting is supplied via a fully detailed lighting pack, offering directional and interior illumination, marker lights, a high‑intensity headlight where applicable and separate cab lighting that auto‑offs when the model moves. RP25‑110 wheels are fitted, with the option to re‑gauge to P4 or EM gauge. The model includes etched metal and high‑fidelity plastic detail parts such as nameplates, crests, steps and grab handles, as well as two quality speakers for sound‑fitted versions. The locomotive is classified as a Class 55 Deltic diesel, originally built in a total production run of 22 for British Railways, with a maximum speed of 100 mph in service.
