Accurascale 55001 St Paddy is a 1:76.2 OO scale model of British Rail Class 55 (Deltic) locomotive number 55001, named St Paddy. It is finished in pristine blue livery and represents the British Rail blue TOPS period of 1961‑1962, when 22 examples of the class were built for diesel haulage.

The model features a die‑cast alloy metal chassis with a five‑pole motor and twin flywheels, a metal helical gearbox and all‑wheel drive. It is DCC ready with a 21‑pin MTX socket and factory fitted DCC sound, and includes a PowerPack capacitor for uninterrupted power. The locomotive is equipped with correctly placed horn, sandbox hatches, battery compartment louvres, cab side windows and a headcode panel. Lighting is fully detailed with directional, interior and marker lights, and a high intensity headlight where applicable. Two quality speakers with large sound capsules provide sound on the sound‑fitted version.

Coupling is supplied with a correct height mini tension lock coupler and NEM socket together with a fully detailed buffer beam and fully sprung metal buffers. The model runs on RP25‑110 OO wheels, with provision for re‑gauging to P4 or EM gauges, and can negotiate a minimum radius curve of 438 mm (second radius set‑track). It is capable of achieving a scale top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h) and is fitted with a DCC sound pack and lighting pack for realistic operation.
