Prototype Eras
Era 9 (1995 to 2004) Initial Privatisation
Era 10 (2005 to 2015) Rebuilding of the Railways
Built by Powell and Duffryn these high capacity wagons were originally bought by ARC and wore the distinctive ARC livery but have since changed to wearing Hanson’s livery. They have on occasion also been seen sporting plain grey to hide graffiti
The fleet is noticeable for its use of distinctive inside bearing TF1 low track force bogies. There are a few variants of the hopper. The outer hoppers are numbered 17xxx and the inner hoppers are numbered 19xxx. Only the most distal end of the outer hoppers are fitted with buffers, all wagons are fitted with buckeye couplings.

The Dapol P & D JHA middle hopper model is a representation of a wagon type used by ARC, specifically with the Amey Roadstone livery. The model features a diecast chassis and profiled wheels, with a close coupling mechanism that can operate on a minimum radius of 438mm. The outer wagon end will have a working rear lamp, accessible via a 6-pin DCC socket for control of the flashing lamp.
The model will be available in two versions, the inner wagon without buffers and buckeye couplings, and the outer wagon with lamp, sprung buffers, and standard OO model coupling with an NEM pocket at one end. The underframe detailing has been corrected and adjusted from the original CAD designs.
These wagons, built by Powell Duffryn between 1990 and 1991, have a distinctive livery and are notable for their inside bearing TF1 low track force bogies. The fleet includes both inner and outer hoppers, with the outer hoppers numbered in the 17xxx series and the inner hoppers in the 19xxx series. The wagons are commonly seen with buckeye couplings and only the outer hoppers have buffers fitted.
The model is designed to represent the wagons in the initial privatisation period, with a high level of detail including separately added parts.
