The O&K JHA hoppers were built by Orenstein & Koppel to coincide with the introduction of the Class 59’s in the UK for aggregate haulage by Foster Yeoman. They remain in service to date with Mendip Rail Ltd. A rake of these wagons consist of two outer wagons and a number of inner wagons.
The notable feature is that the two outer wagons have screw link couplings and buffers on the outer most edge of the train, whilst the connection between inner wagons is a buckeye style coupling allowing closer coupling and hence an overall reduction in length of the train which was considered an important design aim.

Dapol's OO gauge O & K JHA (end hopper) Foster Yeoman wagon is a model of a type of hopper wagon built by Orenstein & Koppel in the late 1980s. The model is designed to represent wagons used for aggregate haulage by Foster Yeoman, a company which operated in the UK.
The O & K JHA wagons were built to coincide with the introduction of the Class 59 locomotives, and were designed to be used in conjunction with these locomotives. The wagons are still in service today with Mendip Rail Ltd.
The model features a highly detailed design, with a diecast chassis, profiled wheels, and sprung buffers on the outermost wagons. The model also includes a close coupling mechanism, which allows for close coupling and a reduction in the overall length of the train.
The model is available in two versions, with the outer wagons featuring lamp fittings, sprung buffers, and a standard OO model coupling, while the inner wagons have buckeye couplings and no buffers. The model is DCC ready, with a 6-pin socket for control of the rear lamp.
The model measures 182mm in length, 33mm in width, and 48mm in height, and has a minimum radius curve requirement of 438mm. An accessory pack is available, which includes two versions of interconnecting pipes, a loose, unconnected version and a flexible version for connecting adjacent wagons.
