Rapido SER/SECR 5‑plank 10 ton open wagon – SE&CR Wainwright Light Grey No 8632 is a 1:76 (OO gauge) model. It carries the manufacturer part number 824007 and represents the pre‑grouping era of British railways.

The wagon design originated between 01/01/1897 and 31/12/1901 when the South Eastern Railway and the London, Chatham and Dover Railway merged to form the South Eastern and Chatham Railway. About 1 250 units were ordered from Ashbury Railway Carriage and Iron Co, Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Co, Oldbury Railway Carriage and Wagon Co and the railway’s own Ashford Works, with some subcontracting that makes exact builder totals unclear.

The model is based on diagram 1340 (open goods) and diagram 1341 (open coal) – both 15 ft 5 in (4 698 mm) long with a 9 ft 4 in (2 845 mm) wheelbase and a 10 ton payload. Distinguishing features include low‑D‑shaped ends and Williams Pattern sheet rail on the 1341 version, round ends on the 1340 version, split‑spoke wheels with metal bearings, NEM coupler pockets and a high‑detail livery applied to both above and below the floor line.

The majority of the wagons passed to the Southern Railway on 01/01/1923 and were progressively withdrawn, the last of diagram 1340 being retired on 31/12/1942 and the final diagram 1341 on 31/12/1948. Their original running numbers are unknown, as many had entered departmental stock by the time of withdrawal.
