The Dapol Large Prairie 2-6-2 Tank Locomotive model number 5150 is a scale representation of a Great Western Railway locomotive. The model is built to a high standard, with a pristine finish and a precise representation of the original locomotive's features.

The model is a scale representation of a Great Western Railway 5101 class 'Large Prairie' locomotive, which was built by the GWR at Swindon Works between 1929 and 1949. A total of 140 locomotives of this class were produced, with the final batch being delivered in 1949. The locomotives were designed by Charles Collett and featured a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement.

The Dapol model features a diecast chassis with a five-pole motor driving the rear wheel, with the centre driving wheels and front pony truck being sprung for added compensation. This allows the model to navigate curves of a minimum radius of 438mm with ease.

The model is equipped with a NEXT-18 DCC system, allowing for smooth and precise control of the locomotive's speed and other functions. The locomotive also features a sound system, including a firebox glow and other realistic sounds. The model has electrical pick-up on all driving and tender wheels, and a slide-in PCB that allows for easy installation of a NEXT-18 DCC decoder and a 'no-solder' speaker connection.

The Dapol model is a highly detailed representation of a 1940s-era Great Western Railway locomotive, with features such as a tall safety valve cover, short safety valve cover, bunker lamp bracket shield, and smoke box top mounted lamp bracket. The model is offered in a green livery, representing the locomotive's original Great Western Railway colours.

The specifications of the model include a length of 164mm, a width of 34mm, and a height of 48mm. The model is designed to run on 2-rail DCC track and is suitable for Era 3 (1923-1947).
