The Dapol Large Prairie model 6129 represents a Great Western Railway 6100‑class locomotive in GWR green livery. It is finished to a pristine standard, fitted with DCC sound, and carries the running number 6126. The model measures 164 mm in length, 34 mm in width and 48 mm in height, with power pickup via all wheels. Coupling is provided by NEM/Tension‑lock couplers and the manufacturer part number is 4S‑041‑002S.

The real 6100 series were built at Swindon Works between 1931 and 1935, with a total of 70 locomotives produced. Designed by Charles Collett, they are 2‑6‑2T steam engines that served the Great Western Railway on London suburban services during the Big Four era (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR). The final members of the batch were withdrawn during December 1965.

Dapol plans to manufacture these models with the early‑1930s cab‑side shutters fitted, reflecting the later appearance of the class. The model is intended for use on a radius 2 track and is suitable for both hobbyists and collectors.
