Dapol's Large Prairie 2-6-2 Tank Locomotive model #5109 is a OO gauge representation of the Great Western Railway's 5101 class locomotive. This model is designed to represent the locomotive in its Green lettered Great Western livery, with the running number 5109.

The model is built to precise measurements, with a length of 164mm, a width of 34mm, and a height of 48mm. The minimum radius curve that the model can negotiate is 2nd Radius, which is 438mm. The locomotive features a diecast chassis with a five pole motor driving the rear wheel, and the centre driving wheels are sprung for added compensation.

The model is DCC fitted, with electrical pick-up on all driving and tender wheels, as well as a firebox glow. The locomotive also features Dapol's proven slow speed mechanism and high torque motor. A slide-in PCB allows for the simple installation of a NEXT-18 DCC decoder and a 'no-solder' speaker connection. A sound-fitted option is also available, using a UK Steam Sound Decoder by Soundtraxx.

The model is designed to represent the locomotives built between 1929 and 1949, and the final twenty not receiving Great Western livery. The last eleven locomotives of this class were withdrawn in December 1965. The model is a faithful representation of the 5101 class, with features such as a tall safety valve cover, short safety valve cover, bunker lamp bracket shield, and smoke box top mounted lamp bracket.
