Accurascale has released a model of the Great Western Railway Class 7800 "Manor" steam locomotive in OO gauge. This model is representative of the locomotive class, which was built between 1938 and 1950, and features a 4-6-0 wheel arrangement.

The model, numbered 7808 and named Cookham Manor, is fitted with a DCC sound system. It is finished in GWR green livery and has a pristine finish. The model is designed to operate on minimum radius curves of 438mm (2nd radius) and has a length of 245mm.

The model features a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body, with a sprung centre driving axle for smooth operation. It is equipped with a high-quality 3-pole motor and flywheel for low starting voltage and smooth power delivery. The model is also DCC ready, with a 21-pin MTC socket in the tender, or can be ordered with a factory-installed DCC sound system.

The DCC sound version of the model features a speaker mounted in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, along with a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound. The model also has electrical pickup from all tender and locomotive driving wheels. The model's traction features include a metal helical gearbox for maximum performance and slow speed running, and gearing arranged to allow the locomotive to reach a scale top speed of 90mph.
