Accurascale has released a new OO gauge model of the Great Western Railway's 7800 "Manor" Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive, specifically decorated in BR green livery with the late crest. This model is based on the real-world locomotive No 7800, which was built at GWR/BR Swindon Works between 1938 and 1950.

The model features a number of details, including fully sprung metal buffers, pipework, and high fidelity dummy screw couplings. It also includes optional features such as an overhead warning plate bracket on late-BR examples. The locomotive's tender has a DCC decoder socket, accessible by removing a section secured by magnets, and comes with a choice of lift out sections: empty or a simulated 'coal' load.

This model is DCC ready, with a 21-pin socket in the tender, and can also be purchased with a factory-installed DCC sound option. The sound-equipped locomotives feature a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, and include a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound. The model also features a flickering firebox light, synchronised with sound on DCC installed models.

The model's traction features include a minimum radius curve of 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track), a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body with a sprung centre driving axle. The metal Helical Gear box provides maximum performance and slow speed running, and the gearing allows the locomotive to achieve a scale top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h). The model's wheels are OO gauge, with an RP25-110 profile.
