Accurascale has released a model of the Great Western Railway's Class 7800 "Manor" steam locomotive, specifically No. 7820 "Dinmore Manor". The model is built to OO gauge standards and is finished in BR black livery with the early emblem.

The locomotive features a 4-6-0 wheel arrangement and is designed to represent a locomotive built between 1938 and 1950. A total of 30 locomotives of this class were built.

The model includes a range of features designed to enhance its realism and operation, including fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high fidelity dummy screw couplings. It also has a DCC sound system, with a speaker mounted in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, and a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound.

The locomotive is capable of achieving a top speed of 90mph and is fitted with a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body, as well as a metal helical gearbox for smooth operation. The wheels are of the RP25-110 profile and are designed for use on OO gauge track.

The model is suitable for use on curves with a minimum radius of 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track) and is compatible with DCC systems. It is also available with a factory-installed DCC sound option, which includes a flickering firebox light synchronised with the sound.
