Accurascale have released a model of the Great Western Railway's 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive in British Railways black livery with the early emblem. This OO gauge model, numbered 7814 and named 'Fringford Manor', is a representation of a locomotive built between 1938 and 1950.

The model features a number of details, including fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high-fidelity dummy screw couplings. The buffer housings are also accurately modelled, with early tapered, tapered, or straight designs used as applicable. A choice of lift out sections is available, including an empty tender and a tender with a simulated 'coal' load.

The model is DCC ready, with a 21-pin socket in the tender allowing for the easy installation of a decoder. Alternatively, the model can be ordered with factory-installed DCC sound. The sound version features a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, providing a high-quality audio experience.

The model's traction features include a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body, with a sprung centre driving axle for smooth running. A metal helical gearbox provides maximum performance and slow-speed running, while the gearing allows the model to reach a scale top speed of 90mph. The RP25-110 profile OO gauge wheels are designed to ensure smooth running on a minimum radius of 438mm, suitable for 2nd radius track.
