Accurascale has released a model of the Great Western Railway's 7800 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive, specifically in the BR Green livery with late crest. This OO gauge model is designed to replicate locomotive 7800, named 'Torquay Manor'.

Key features of the model include fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high fidelity dummy screw couplings. The model also includes a range of details such as early tapered, tapered or straight buffer housings, and an optional overhead warning plate bracket on late-BR examples. The tender features kinetic NEM coupler mounts at the correct height, along with mini-tension-lock couplers.

The model is DCC sound equipped, with a 3-pole motor and flywheel providing smooth power delivery. The DCC sound model includes a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, as well as a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound. The model also features electrical pickup from all tender and locomotive driving wheels.

The model is designed for use on second radius (438mm) curves, and features a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body with a sprung centre driving axle. The metal helical gearbox provides maximum performance and slow speed running, with gearing allowing the locomotive to reach a scale top speed of 90mph. The OO gauge wheels have an RP25-110 profile.
