Accurascale’s ‘Hinton Manor’ (GWR No 7819) is a highly detailed OO‑scale (1:76.2) model of a Great Western Railway green 4‑6‑0 steam locomotive. The model represents the locomotive as it appeared during the period of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR). It carries the GWR plain‑green livery with the GWR lettering on the tender, an original‑style chimney and a flush‑sided tender body with narrow hornplates.

The locomotive is based on a 3‑D scan of No 7808 Cookham Manor and incorporates full works drawings supplied by the Great Western Society, Didcot. The cab interior is fully detailed with separate components, and the chassis, running plate and body are die‑cast in metal. Scale‑width wire handrails, etched metal and plastic parts, and pre‑painted name‑ and number‑plates add to the realism. Headboards for the Cambrian Coast Express and Pembroke Coast Express are provided as etched metal pieces, and the model includes high‑fidelity dummy screw couplings, sprung metal buffers, and factory‑installed pipework.

The tender is a Churchward 3,500‑gallon type, offered in a range of historically accurate variations including riveted or flush sides, different hornplate widths and several spring‑hanger designs. It features fully sprung metal buffers, dummy screw couplings, and optional overhead warning plate brackets for later British Rail examples. A lift‑out section on the tender roof, secured by magnets, allows the choice of an empty or simulated coal load, and a DCC decoder socket is mounted at the correct height.

Electronic features include a high‑quality three‑pole motor with a flywheel for smooth power delivery, and the model is DCC ready with a socket for an MTC decoder and optional factory‑installed DCC sound. Sound‑equipped locomotives have a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, a PowerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted operation, and a flickering firebox light that synchronises with the sound. Electrical pickup is taken from all driving wheels on both locomotive and tender.

Traction performance is supported by a die‑cast metal chassis with a sprung centre driving axle, a metal helical gearbox, and RP25‑110 profile OO‑gauge wheels. The gearing allows a scale top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h) and the model can navigate a minimum radius of 438 mm on second‑radius set‑track. The locomotive is supplied with a standard DCC fitting service reference of ‘NA’ and carries the manufacturer part number ACC2500‑7819.
