Accurascale has released a model of the GWR Green Manor Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive, No. 7801 Anthony Manor. This model is designed for OO gauge layouts and features a pristine finish in GWR green livery.

The locomotive is based on the real-life 7800 "Manor" class, a total of 30 of which were built by the Great Western Railway and British Railways at Swindon Works between 1938 and 1950. The model is designed to represent the locomotives during the Big Four period.

Key features of the model include fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high-fidelity dummy screw couplings. The model also includes early tapered, tapered, or straight buffer housings, depending on the specific locomotive being modelled. Optional features include an overhead warning plate bracket on late-BR examples and a choice of lift-out sections, including an empty or simulated coal load.

The locomotive is DCC ready, with a 21-pin socket in the tender, or can be fitted with a factory-installed DCC sound option. The sound models feature a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, as well as a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound. The model also includes a flickering firebox light, synchronised with the sound on DCC installed models, and electrical pickup from all tender and locomotive driving wheels.

In terms of traction, the model is designed for use on second radius curves of 438mm or greater, with a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body, and a sprung centre driving axle. The locomotive has a metal helical gearbox for maximum performance and slow speed running, and is geared to achieve a scale top speed of 90 mph. The model features RP25-110 profile OO gauge wheels.
