Accurascale 7818 ‘Granville Manor’ is a highly detailed OO gauge (1:76.2) model of the Great Western Railway 7800 “Manor” class locomotive. The kit is supplied as DCC ready, with a 21‑pin socket fitted in the tender, and carries the GWR green livery with a pristine finish. It represents the prototype built between 1938 and 1950, of which 30 were produced, and carries the running number 7818.

The model measures 245 mm in length, uses NEM couplings and a minimum radius of 438 mm (second radius set‑track). It features a 4‑6‑0 wheel arrangement, a die‑cast metal chassis, running plate and body, and RP25‑110 profile OO gauge wheels. The tender is a Churchward 3,500 gal type with riveted or flush‑sided sides, narrow or wide hornplates, and fully sprung metal buffers, all mounted to the correct height for the kinetic NEM coupler.

Construction draws on a 3‑D scan of locomotive 7808 Cookham Manor and full works drawings supplied by the Great Western Society, Didcot. The model includes etched metal and lost‑wax parts such as grab handles, steps and drain cocks, pre‑painted name and number plates, a fully detailed cab interior, and high‑fidelity dummy screw couplings. Optional features include an overhead warning plate bracket for late‑BR examples and lift‑out sections to show an empty or simulated coal load.

Electronic features comprise a high‑quality three‑pole motor with flywheel, low starting voltage and smooth power delivery, as well as an optional DCC sound package with speakers in the smokebox and tender, a PowerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound, and a synchronised flickering firebox light. Electrical pickup is provided from all driving wheels, and the gearing allows a scale top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h). The locomotive is ready for immediate operation on 16.5 mm track.
