Accurascale has released a model of the Great Western Railway's 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive, number 7824, in British Railways black livery with the early emblem. The locomotive is built to OO gauge and features a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body with a sprung centre driving axle.

The model is DCC ready with a 21-pin socket in the tender, allowing for the addition of a digital command control system. Alternatively, a factory-installed DCC sound option is available, which includes a speaker in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender. The locomotive also features a powerPack capacitor bank to ensure uninterrupted power and sound.

The model has a minimum radius requirement of 438mm, or a second radius set-track, and is designed for use on main line model railways. It features RP25-110 profile OO gauge wheels and a metal helical gearbox for maximum performance and slow speed running. The gearing is arranged to allow the locomotive to achieve a scale top speed of 90mph.

The model is finished in a pristine condition and features a range of details, including fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high fidelity dummy screw couplings. The tender is equipped with a kinetic NEM coupler mount at the correct height, along with a mini-tension-lock coupler. A choice of lift-out sections is available, allowing the model to be run with either an empty or simulated 'coal' load.
