• Smokebox and chimney correctly represents as-built GWR condition or post-1952 BR redraughting
• Fully-detailed cab interior with many separate parts

Accurascale has released a model of the BR Black (Early Crest) Manor Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive, specifically No. 7824 Iford Manor. This model is designed for OO gauge layouts and features a DCC sound system, allowing for realistic sound effects and operation.

The locomotive is built to a high standard, with a pristine finish and accurate details such as fully sprung metal buffers, factory-installed pipework, and high fidelity dummy screw couplings. The model also includes a choice of lift-out sections for the tender, allowing for either an empty or coal-loaded appearance.

The DCC sound version of the model features a very high-quality 3-pole motor with a flywheel, low starting voltage, and smooth power delivery. The sound system includes a speaker mounted in the smokebox and dual speakers in the tender, providing a realistic sound experience. The model also includes a powerPack capacitor bank for uninterrupted power and sound.

The traction features of the model include a die-cast metal chassis, running plate, and body with a sprung centre driving axle, as well as a metal helical gearbox for maximum performance and slow speed running. The gearing is arranged to allow the locomotive to achieve a top speed of 90mph, and the model is designed to run on a minimum radius of 2nd radius (438mm).
