Accurascale has released a BR 21T MDW Mineral Wagon in bauxite livery, as part of their TOPS range. The model is designed to be compatible with a minimum radius curve of one metre.

The model is based on British Rail's 21 Ton Coal 21VB / MDW wagons, which were built by British Rail in the 1950s. These wagons were used for scrap metal traffic in Scotland and North East England, with 192 wagons being converted from the 1/119 and 1/120 diagrams at Perth between 1985 and 1987. The MDWs remained in service until 1992, with four wagons being used in Departmental traffic until 1999.

The model features a pack of three wagons, each with individual numbers, and includes NEM standard coupler pockets and narrow tension lock couplers. The model also features extra fine factory-fitted detail plastic parts and sprung buffers, as well as individual lettering and codes from real wagons to ensure authenticity.
