• Additional Flap Doors on sides, which MDO did not carry

Accurascale has released a 21T MDV mineral wagon model in British Rail bauxite livery. The wagon is designed for use on models with a minimum radius of 1:1 curve.

The model features three wagons, each with its own unique number: B314657, B314732, and B314883. The wagons are representative of those built by British Rail in the 1950s and feature a bauxite livery with TOPS markings.

The Accurascale model is based on the 21T coal wagons introduced in 1961, which were built in large numbers, with over 3,900 examples produced. These wagons were commonly used in block rakes, often mixed with other coal wagons such as the 16t mineral wagon and the 24.5t mineral wagon.

The model features a 1:120 pattern and includes OLEO buffers and roller bearing axle-boxes. It also includes additional details such as flap doors on the sides, which were not present on the MDO wagons. The model is supplied with NEM standard coupler pockets and narrow tension lock couplers.

The Accurascale 21T MDV mineral wagon model is designed to be highly detailed, with extra fine factory-fitted parts and sprung buffers. Each wagon also features individual lettering and codes, adding to the model's authenticity.
