Accurascale has released a new model of the BR 21T MDO mineral wagon in BR grey Pre-TOPS livery. The model is part of a three-wagon pack, numbered B201550, B201563, and B201597.

These wagons were built in the 1950s by British Railways and were introduced in 1950. A total of 1,500 wagons were built to this pattern, which featured a grey livery and a distinctive 1/107 pattern. Each wagon had two doors on either side of the body and a third door at one end for end-tipping.

The 21T coal wagons were designed to run in block rakes and were often mixed with other types of coal wagons, including the 16t minerals, 21t hoppers, and 24.5t hoppers. These wagons remained in service until 1988.

The Accurascale model features common details found on the real wagons, including spindle buffers, oil axle-boxes, and NEM standard coupler pockets. The model also includes narrow tension lock couplers and extra fine factory-fitted detail plastic parts. Each wagon has individual lettering and codes to add authenticity to the model.
