Prototype information

Accurascale has released a triple pack of OO gauge models depicting British Rail 21T coal wagons in grey pre-TOPS livery. The wagons feature accurate details and markings, including individual numbers and lettering from real wagons.

The models are based on the 1950s British Railways design, with features such as oil axle-boxes and spindle buffers. They are designed to be compatible with NEM coupler pockets and come with narrow tension lock couplers.

Each wagon has a different running number: B201223, B201414, and B201499, and are all finished in a pristine condition. The models are designed for use on minimum radius curves of 1, and are suitable for use with P4 and EM gauges.

This release is a representation of the 1,500 wagons built to this pattern, which remained in service until 1988. They were often used in block rakes and mixed with other coal wagons.

The triple pack includes extra fine factory-fitted detail parts, including sprung buffers, and metal 3-hole disc wagon wheels on metal axles. The models are designed to be highly detailed and authentic, with individual lettering and codes from real wagons.
