Accurascale has released a 21T MDV mineral wagon in British Rail bauxite livery. This model represents a wagon of the 21 Ton Coal 21VB / MDV type, which was built by British Railways in the 1950s. The wagon features a 4-wheel wheel arrangement and is designed for use on curves with a minimum radius of 1 metre.

The model is part of a three-wagon pack, each wagon having its own unique number: B311206, B314080, and B311368. The livery is a bauxite TOPS finish, and the model features 1/120 pattern, OLEO buffers, and roller bearing axle-boxes.

The 21VB / MDV wagons were introduced in 1961 and 3,950 examples were built to this pattern. They remained in service until 1992 and were often seen running in block rakes alongside other coal wagons, including the 16t minerals, 21t hoppers, and 24.5t minerals.

Accurascale's model features common details such as NEM standard coupler pockets, narrow tension lock couplers, and extra fine plastic parts. The model also includes sprung buffers and individually lettering and codes from real wagons for added authenticity.
