Rapido Class 25 ‘Ironclad’ 0‑6‑0 No.12015 is an OO‑scale model of a Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway locomotive in LMS livery, supplied with DCC sound. It carries the manufacturer part number 817505 and represents the locomotive as it appeared during the era of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).

The model is equipped with a coreless motor and flywheel, a 21‑pin decoder socket mounted in the tender, and a large tender‑mounted speaker. Additional features include a MoPower stay‑alive circuit, plunger pickups on both locomotive and tender, Ramsbottom safety valves, an L&Y‑style smokebox door, a single boiler handrail and NEM pockets on the front and rear. It is suitable for operation on second‑radius curves of 438 mm or greater.

The full‑size Class 25 “Ironclad” 0‑6‑0s were built between 1876 and 1887, with 280 examples supplied by five manufacturers. Originally designed for freight, they proved effective in mixed traffic and were later re‑classified by the LMS as 2F before withdrawal began in 1930. The last member of the class, No.52044 (L&Y No.957), was retired on 31/12/1959, rescued on 01/01/1960 and now resides on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, famously appearing in the film “The Railway Children”.
