Rapido Class 25 ‘Ironclad’ 0‑6‑0 locomotive No. 929 in Lancashire & Yorkshire lined goods livery (post‑1901) is an OO gauge model of a pre‑grouping British steam locomotive. The model is supplied by Rapido Trains UK under part number 817003 and represents the Class 25 locomotives built for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway between 1876 and 1887.

The original Class 25, designed by William Barton Wright, was introduced in 1875 to replace ageing stock. Twenty‑two examples were ordered from Kitson & Co. in 1876‑78, followed by further batches from Sharp, Stewart & Co., Vulcan and Beyer Peacock, bringing the total to 280 locomotives. Although intended for freight, they proved capable of mixed‑traffic duties and earned the nickname ‘Ironclad’. The class remained in service for 72 years, the last example being withdrawn in 1959; one survivor, No. 957, survives on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

The model includes a one‑piece boiler handrail, Ramsbottom safety valves, a coreless motor with flywheel and a 21‑pin decoder socket in the tender. Additional features are a large tender‑mounted speaker, MoPower stay‑alive, plunger locomotive pickups, tender wheel bearing pickups, dynamic firebox flicker and NEM pockets front and rear. It is suitable for operation on second‑radius curves of 438 mm or greater.

Rapido offers the locomotive in a range of liveries, including two that reflect different periods of its preservation history. The model is aimed at collectors and railway enthusiasts who require a detailed, operational representation of this historic British steam engine.
