Accurascale has announced a new OO scale model of the Class 92 electric locomotive, specifically the DB Schenker Red version, with running number 92042. This model is DCC ready, featuring a 21-pin socket.

The locomotive is a highly detailed representation of the real-life Class 92, built by Asea Brown Boveri and Brush Traction between 1993 and 1996. A total of 46 units were produced, with this model being one of them. The Class 92 is a high-speed electric locomotive capable of reaching speeds of up to 145 km/h (90 mph).

The model features a heavy die-cast alloy metal chassis for improved tractive effort, and comes with a 5-pole motor and twin flywheel for high performance.
