Accurascale has announced a new OO scale model of the Class 92 electric locomotive, numbered 92036 and named Bertolt Brecht. The model is based on the original English, Welsh and Scottish Railway (EWS) livery and features a high level of detail, including separately applied etched metal and plastic parts.

The model is built to a 1:76.2 scale and has a heavy die-cast alloy metal chassis for improved tractive effort. It is DCC ready, with a 21-pin MXT socket, and can be fitted with a factory-installed sound system. The model features a five-pole motor with two flywheels, a metal helical gearbox, and all-wheel drive and all-wheel pickup.

The lighting on the model is highly detailed, with directional lighting, DC and DCC control, and separately switched cab lighting. The model also features dual motorised pantographs with full DCC control. The wheels are RP25-110 OO wheels, which can be re-gauged to P4 (18.83mm) and EM (18mm) gauge. The model is fully sprung and has extra fine factory-fitted pipework.
