Accurascale has announced a new OO scale model of the British Rail Class 92 electric locomotive.
The model, numbered 92032 'IMechE Railway Division', will be available in a GBRf - GB Railfreight livery. It is DCC Ready, with a 21-pin socket, and features a 5-pole motor with twin flywheel for high-performance running.
Key features of the model include a heavy die-cast alloy metal chassis, separately applied etched metal and high-fidelity plastic detail parts, and a fully detailed bufferbeam. The model also features all-wheel drive and all-wheel pickup, as well as dual motorised pantographs with full DCC control. Lighting is provided by a fully detailed lighting pack, including directional lighting, DC and DCC, and separately switched cab lighting.
The model is expected to be released in Q3 2022, and is designed to be capable of running on a minimum radius curve of 438mm (2nd Radius).
The Class 92 was built by Asea Brown Boveri and Brush Traction between 1993 and 1996, with a total of 46 units produced. The model will be highly detailed and accurate, with a scale of 1:76.2 and RP25-110 wheels. The model is also designed to be compatible with P4 (18.83mm) and EM (18mm) gauge track.
