Accurascale has announced a new OO scale model of the Class 92 locomotive, a British Rail Class 92 electric locomotive built by Asea Brown Boveri and Brush Traction between 1993 and 1996. The locomotive was used by DB Schenker, formerly known as DB Cargo UK.

The model is expected to be released in Q3 2022 and will be available in DB Schenker livery. It features a 21-pin socket for DCC compatibility and a five-pole motor with twin flywheel for high performance. The model has a heavy die-cast alloy metal chassis for maximum tractive effort and features separately applied etched metal and high fidelity plastic detail parts.

The model includes a range of features, including directional lighting, interior lighting, and red and white marker lights. It also has a fully detailed lighting pack, including lighting clusters with day and night-time modes. The model has all-wheel drive and all-wheel pickup, as well as dual motorised pantographs with full DCC control.

The model is built to a high level of detail, with features such as grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates, and crests. It also includes a correct height mini-tension-lock coupler with a NEM socket and a fully detailed bufferbeam. The model is suitable for use on second radius curves of 438mm or more and has provision for re-gauging to P4 (18.83mm) and EM (18mm) gauge.
