Accurascale is set to release a new OO scale model of the Class 92 locomotive, Victor Hugo, which was initially operated by the English, Welsh and Scottish Railway. The model features a DCC ready chassis with a 21-pin MTX socket, as well as a sound-equipped version. It will be available in the livery of the EWS, with a pristine finish.

The model is built to a high level of detail, with separately applied etched metal and high fidelity plastic parts, including grab handles, steps, wipers, nameplates, and crests. It features a heavy die-cast alloy metal chassis for maximum tractive effort, and a five-pole motor with two flywheels for high performance. The model also includes a metal helical gearbox for smooth running and accurate top speed.

The model's lighting pack includes directional lighting, DC and DCC functionality, and red and white marker lights. The cab lighting and driver's console are also illuminated, with an auto-off feature when the locomotive is in motion. The model is fitted with RP25-110 wheels, which can be re-gauged to accommodate different track gauges, including p4 and EM. The minimum radius curve for the model is 438mm, or second radius.

The Class 92 locomotive was built between 1993 and 1996, with a total of 46 units produced. The model is expected to be released in Q3 2022.
