Rapido GNR C2 Tank No.1528 is a 1:76 (OO gauge) model of the Great Northern Railway 4‑4‑2 tank locomotive. It is supplied by Rapido Trains UK under part number 989002 and represents the pre‑grouping period of the class.

The original C2 class was designed by Henry Ivatt and built at Doncaster between 1898 and 1907. Ten locomotives were produced initially, with later batches adding condensing apparatus for use on the Metropolitan Widened Lines. After the 1923 grouping the engines were reclassified as LNER C12 and remained in service until the late 1950s, though none were preserved.

The model features a museum‑quality paint finish in GNR Lined Green, a short chimney, dome and as‑built safety valves, round tank edges and parallel buffers. It includes a die‑cast running board, factory‑fitted speakers, an ESU E24 DCC decoder socket, MoPower stay‑alive capacitors and a dynamic firebox flicker with fire‑draw effect. The locomotive rides smoothly on curves of 438 mm radius or larger and is fitted with NEM 363 coupler pockets at the front and NEM 362 at the rear.

A range of liveries is offered, covering pre‑grouping, grouping and nationalisation eras. Variant parts such as different chimney designs, domes, safety valves, bunker shapes, tank corners, condensing pipes and coal‑rail designs are supplied, and models intended to represent condensing variants include brass destination plates for the destination board brackets.
