Heljan Class 07 shunter 07009 is an OO‑scale model in British Rail blue livery with a weathered finish. The locomotive is DCC ready, fitted with a 6‑pin socket, directional lighting and power pickup from all wheels. It represents the diesel‑powered 0‑6‑0 shunter built by Ruston & Hornsby in 1962, of which only 14 were produced for British Rail. The real locomotive, numbered 07009, served for 14 years before withdrawal in October 1976, and had a maximum speed of 20 mph, a minimum curve radius of 371 mm and NEM couplings.
Key specifications of the model include the British Rail Class 07 designation, a wheel arrangement of 0‑6‑0, a length of service period of 1962‑1976, manufacturer part number 2915 and representation of the pre‑TOPS British Rail blue era.
