The Heljan model reproduces British Rail Class 07 shunter D2985 in British Rail green livery with wasp‑stripe detailing. It is fitted with a 6‑pin DCC socket and is ready for digital operation. The model is presented in OO gauge with a pristine finish and carries the running number D2985.
The locomotive is built to represent a 0‑6‑0 diesel shunter introduced in 1962 by Ruston & Hornsby at Lincoln. It bears the early British Rail crest, features all‑wheel power pickup, NEM/tension‑lock couplings, and is capable of a maximum speed of 20 mph. The prototype served for 15 years before withdrawal in July 1977; a total of 14 were produced.
Key specifications: gauge OO; minimum radius curve radius 1; manufacturer part number 2900; operator British Railways; built by Ruston & Hornsby; length of service 15 years; max speed 20 mph.
