Cavalex Models Class 56 Triple Grey Transrail No 56129 is a die‑cast diesel locomotive model representing the British Rail Class 56 in the Triple Grey livery used by Transrail between 1998 and 2003. The model carries the manufacturer part number CM‑56129‑TGT and depicts the locomotive in its initial privatisation period.

The kit includes a 21‑pin DCC interface with a removable panel that permits easy installation of a DCC chip and provides dip‑switch control for DC users. Lighting is fully independently controlled, offering parked, yard, light‑engine and on‑train modes with realistic colour and intensity, and the cab interior features printed dials and a decorated full‑depth layout. Hall sensors generate automatic flange squeal on curves for models fitted with sound.

Mechanical detail incorporates photo‑etched side, roof and cantrail grilles, separate bogie components rather than a single moulded piece, and a highly detailed underframe. A power bank together with a 5‑pole motor, twin flywheel and low‑ratio gearbox delivers smooth running, while floating centre axles improve road‑holding. Optional drop‑in wheelsets allow conversion to EM and P4 gauges.

The locomotive is fitted with factory‑installed DCC sound using a custom ESU project and an ESU speaker mounted in the chassis. Etched name plates correspond to the model number, and both standard and revised cantrail grill options are available to match the prototype. No DCC fitting service is supplied.
